Insurance agents and agencies, like all providers of personal financial services, are now required to inform their clients of their policies regarding privacy of client information. Types of Nonpublic Personal Information We Collect. We collect nonpublic personal information about you that is provided to us by you or obtained by us with your permission.
Parties to Whom We Disclose Information
We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information except as required or permitted by law. Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to insurance companies as authorized by you by signing an application of insurance. Examples are worksheets, questionnaires, claims forms, claims history, account balances, payment history, consumer reports such as motor vehicle reports and credit reports. We may also disclose personal information to affiliated and non-affiliated parties for processing and servicing transactions. Such parties include insurance brokers, property and automobile appraisers, auditors and claims adjusters. We may also disclose information in response to a subpoena, to detect or prevent fraud, or to comply with an inquiry or requirement of a governmental agency or regulator. Protecting the Confidentiality and Security of Clients' Information We retain records of the services we provide to clients as required by the State of New Mexico and the Federal Government.
